This memorial website was created to remember our Patrick A. Brady, Sr. who was born in Peoria, Illinois on January 9, 1943 and passed away on April 24, 2009. He will live forever in our memories and hearts.

 

Patrick A. Brady, Sr. 66, of Peoria, passed away at 2:08 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

 

Patrick was born on January 9, 1943 in Peoria, a son of James and Dorothy (Spurgeon) Brady. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death. He married Altheia L. Farney on April 15, 1967 in Peoria. Patrick was a barge worker for the former Peoria Barge.

 

He is survived by his wife, of forty-two years, Altheia; sons, Patrick A. (Lorrine) Brady, Jr. of Mesa, AZ and Scott A. Brady of Peoria; daughter, Charlotte Brady of Peoria; four grandchildren; and brothers, Francis (Marsha) Brady of Lafayette, James (Kim) Webster of Melbourne, FL and Gerald (Tina) Spurgeon of Peoria.

 

Private services and interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.

Pat was a dear friend of mine I called him dad or paw, he called me BRAT or daughter, my fondest memorie of him was sitting around the table with him, mom, and my husband playing cards laughing till wee hours of the morning laughing so hard our tummies hurt.  I will miss his oneriness and calling me brat everytime i walk through the door. Pat was my youngest brother, and I will always remember him. We had lots of fun when we were young. Along with my other brother, Francis and my sister Selma, we looked after him. I also introduced him to his loving wife. I know he is very happy to be with Mom & Pop now. May they all have everlasting peace.

I can remember all the family at the campground playing volleyball and Pat or someone would always end up on the ground and we all had such a great time and probally never laughed as much as we did playing volleyball it was great family time.
